  Guest houses are all very different. Some take pride in their food while with others it's a particularly good bath or a spectacular view. These differences are what make guest houses so attractive. Another good thing is that they have the flexibility to precisely meet your demands. Don't hesitate to tell us if there are certain foods you can't eat, or if you have to leave early in the morning. You never know, we may even be able to tell you of sightseeing spots not many people know about.
• Each guest house has its own unique amenities
  
  Compared to some years ago, guest houses have become much more convenient. Some of them now provide towels and toothbrushes while at others you can rent sleepwear. There are also some you can stay at without taking hardly anything with you, just like at a hotel or Japanese inn. Whether toothbrushes, towels, yukata (Japanese cotton kimonos) and other amenities are provided depends on the guest house. We recommend you confirm which amenities are available when you make a reservation since some services may require a small fee or may not be provided at all. As a basic rule, you have to make your own beds at guest houses. Clean sheets and pillow covers are provided, of course. Guest houses may also have their own rules and regulations concerning use of the bath and toilet, so please make sure of them when you check in.
